Summary
Here she was in the bed of the oh-so-beloved Grand Prince of 21st Century South Korea. Hair undone, patience worn thin, dignity balanced precariously on the edge with something else she refused to name. Huiju let out a quiet breath, her lips pressing together to prevent herself from barking out an incredulous laugh.
You've truly outdone yourself this time Seong Huiju. It was impressive even for her. Efficient, even.

Summary
His eyes are a traitor to his facade. It keeps dropping. It would be easy, he muses. As easy as breathing, as he did that night over the wall.
He does not, not yet. Because her eyes finally meet his again, and whatever she had been holding onto—whatever sharp nagging, whatever anger she had been ready to wield—fractures under the weight of it. There is heat in her expression, but it is no longer cleanly defined, no longer contained within the bounds of irritation or frustration. It burns differently now. Heavy. Alive.
He feels it before he fully understands it.
Her lips crashed against his. Colliding to a point of no return.

Summary
He thought, briefly, of the first step he had taken beyond the boundaries drawn for him. The step out of those restrictions over that wall, then the eventual leap of faith on the yacht floor.
How it led them to this singular moment, the world narrowed to the space they shared as she looked up at him impatiently, beautifully, her hole tightening a minuscule more around his length, the slippery satisfaction of the proof of her desire for him making his head buzz, his chest constrict.

Summary
Outside these walls, people still struggled to meet his eyes directly. Senior court officials corrected themselves mid-sentence when they noticed the slightest shift in his calm expression. Even ministers who had spoken to him brazenly during his years as grand prince now carried themselves with amusing caution around him, understanding far too late that the silence he cultivated had never been submission. That the puppet they presumed they were allowed much control to manipulate was never theirs to begin with.
And yet here he was still, beneath his sleeping wife while she snored softly atop his chest, entirely unaware that the ruler of their constitutional monarchy was currently debating whether ditching his duties for the entire morning to be tangled with her a little while longer was worth the wrath of the people he ought to attend to.

Summary
"You called me Your Majesty again," he addresses with a slight pout after a while of just watching her. Her hands pause briefly against his. Sheepishly, she replies, "I know." The apology lingers beneath the words unspoken. Wan looks down at her fingers once more. The title still slips free sometimes before either of them can stop it. Habit carved too deeply into bone to vanish within a few months. Occasionally, Choi Hyeon and many former palace staffs does the same. Occasionally, Wan himself still straightens his back like he had a rod stuck in his spine instinctively.
After all, the Crown may be gone successfully, yet the shape it left behind remains harder to erase.
