The nightly habits of his Cross Guild-mates were, uh, concerning to say the least.
Buggy took it in stride. Sure, sometimes there would be bloody-murderous screaming coming from Croc's tent, and Hawkeyes had been seen more than once prowling the meeting halls, with that oversized bedazzle-stabber clenched in his fist. They were quirky like that. He could get used to weirdness, pretty fucking quickly.
But sometimes his crew got scared.
In which Mihawk sleepwalks, Crocodile has nightmares, and it's up to the Guild's Chairman to figure something out.

Sat at the Guild's private dinner table seat, was the former warlord. He stared from under hooded eyelashes. He could only breathe, and hum his disapproval at the jab.
Crocodile's meal lay half-prepared in front of him.
In which Mihawk eats toxic mushrooms. Crocodile gets high. They each have a little fun at the expense of the other.

Summary
Once the marines landed ashore, the base became a field of orders. Specks and dust billowed from their stomping around. Mihawk traced the current of sand. Too thick, and too neat to be natural. Then a captain, or vice-admiral, all the same to him, thanked and dismissed them.
"What will you do with your free time, Hawkeyes?"
"Not sure yet. I will miss the challenges to my title…"
Crocodile chuckled. Then turned around. He showed Mihawk his back, confidently, proudly. And climbed aboard their small marine-flagged ship. Sengoku's courtesy. Over his shoulder he said, "I'm sure you are capable of finding something to entertain youself with."
In which Mihawk passes the years studying one of his oldest acquaintances, Sir Crocodile.

"Crocodile, step inside—"
He had been about to, take the fucking clue from the heavens and slip beneath the deck into dry cover. When the cracked mast of the ship broke in two, and then threes. His squinted eyes caught Mihawk side step the first break. Not the second. The coat flap of his shoulder got caught in the flash-quick splintering.
Mihawk's head smashed into the railing, broke through it.
He fell into the sea.
In which Mihawk gets hurt and Crocodile gets sick. They take care of each other's insufferable asses.

Buggy shared a look with his second Second-Officer. "One of us should check on him later," he declared with more confidence than he had intended. "If he doesn't show up by dinner, I'll do it."
Slowly, Mihawk turned to him. "Are you sure you'd rather not allow me to be the one to check on him?"
"Please, it's my responsibility! Clause thirty-one," in reference to if the Chairman directly and-or indirectly brought harm to the island, that it would rest on him to fix it before calling on the aid of the Second Officers. This entire situation definitely constituted within the clause's binding word. As his suggestion. His vacation plan to Nameless Mushroom Island. His sad, sad mess to fix. "I've got this handled."
In which Buggy accepts responsibility for Crocodile's bad spore reaction.

Now, fight as he might to get Crocodile's attention, with a screeching, "You just had to piss the loverboy off, didn't you!!" it didn't quite snap him out. "I swear on all the seas if you're losing your mind over there and leaving me the sole braincell owner in this building—"
And then the worst possible scenario happened.
Mihawk crashed through the roof.
In which Crocodile gets Fruit-cursed to lust after Mihawk.

He could tell Crocodile had five different muscle knots making his walk meaner. It was obvious, once you noticed that he was sieving into sand every time he moved, in the guise of taking steps. Whatever he'd done had locked either in his neck, or his ribs.
Buggy, kindly of course, pointed it out to him. And he'd be downright courteous about it, like a concerned leader and chairman of the Guild should be.
"You're gonna grind your teeth into sand, unless that's the point?"

Buggy didn't go to sleep that night. He tried, for an hour. Tossed and turned, slammed a few pillows, then moved over to his napping hammock, to see if that brought some relief. His ears were still ringing from the rumor mill.
I heard a rumor that Hawkeyes is a vampire.
In which Buggy and Mihawk both have heard rumors of the other. And yes, Crocodile is annoyed at them both, but gets involved anyway because he's greedy and an opportunist.

His foot stumbled on an invisible step.
What was…? He held the side of his heavy head. His vision dragged along the command table. What was going on? Had the sea churned up in a sudden storm? He had never felt so, sick to his stomach before. Maybe once.
It didn't click until he cracked the lid of the crate open and saw the stack of raw seaprism stone just, lying there, yet unshaped into shackles, that he understood why the floor caved under him and the scrape of teeth stung on his tongue.
In which a bounty of seastone brings up a bad reaction in Crocodile, and Mihawk helps him through it.
