Summary
You didn’t notice anything weird about Vaugarde until a few months into your travels through it.
Well, no, that’s not quite true. The whole country is weird. They all leave their doors unlocked and you can come and go as you want (but not past the first room, for some reason?), they greet you like they’ve known you for forever even if you’ve only just entered their town, and they’ll toss odd jobs your way before you even have to ask for one.
That’s what tipped you off that something properly strange was happening, actually.
Or: Siffrin, and his journey to being trapped in the House of Change in Dormont.

Summary
Even thinking momentarily about this vile curse has tears welling in your eyes. This memory plague is so reminiscent of what could have—must have—happened to your country, your home. And for Vaugarde, such a perfect country, to suffer the same fate? It cannot come to pass. You will not let it.
And like that, sadness turns to grief turns to anger, all pointed towards your goal, your plan, your march to find the savior.
Or: Siffrin and The King swap roles, and the man who could have once been the King meets the party.

Summary
It’s been three days since “Paladin” has joined Mirabelle, Isabeau, and yourself on your quest to save Vaugarde. Three days of travel, of fighting Echos, of coordinating plans of attack. Three days of setting up camp, of cooking (poorly) around the fire, of early mornings together.
And you still do not trust him.
Or: The Paladin shares a hobby and goes on a secret quest.

Summary
…You have an idea. A cruel, mean, nasty idea that you should ignore. Ignore it and roll over and fall asleep to the sound of Isabeau’s snores that you’ve grown so used to in the few months you’ve known him. You should expunge it completely from your mind.
But it could—it would, you’re positive that it would work—get Odile off of your back. It would put her on someone else’s, though.
Or: Mirabelle is scared that the party’s resident Researcher is too close to finding out about her friendship with the Traveling One. She throws her off of her scent.

Summary
Closer to the movement now, you can hear small panting breaths, shaky and exhausted. And, turning to the source of the sound, it’s immediately apparent who the originator is.
A child.

Summary
You don’t like sleeping outside. Nille always said she’d take you camping one day, but that never happened, and so the first time you ever slept in the woods was that first day—well, you think it was only a day, but you can’t really remember how long it was because you were exhausted—after you ran from the curse and from Bambouche and from Nille. But it turns out that the Saviors sleep outside all the time, which crabbing sucks!
Or: Bonnie considers what it means to be a part of the Saviors and fixes Isabeau’s cooking.

Summary
It’s late. You’re not exactly sure what time it is, but you wish you were asleep for it. Exhaustion weighs down your bones until they’re heavy like lead, and you can’t fathom having to pick them up to move. You stare up at the roof of your and Isabeau’s tent, unblinking despite how tired you are.
Everything feels like it’s been going wrong, recently.
Or: Up too late, Mirabelle and the Paladin have a chat and talk about a friend she left behind in the House in Dormont.

Summary
You want to fall and fall and fall until you forget what being bound to the ground ever even felt like, until the air is your start and end and you lose the thrill of weightlessness and tumble upwards instead of down. Stellae, you want more than anything to die free of pain, free of the everpresent agony you’re left with.

Summary
Above you, you can hear the sounds of combat: of shouting and stomping feet and screeching metal. Your chest spasms. Your body aches, but like you're feeling it through a layer of burlap, like the texture of the actual pain is lost to you through the rougher material.
There are hands on your shoulders, pulling you up to lean against the wall, and your head lolls, unruly and uncooperative, onto your shoulder. You hear snapping in your ears, and a steady voice, and a weeping child.
Or: There's a loop.

Summary
You don’t remember your way through this building with absolute confidence, but it does still frustrate you when you’re led down paths that you know are dead ends. There’s no way for Mirabelle to know that, but it’s enough to have you wanting to take the lead from her and guide them yourself.
You stay your tongue.
Or: The Paladin gets a second chance at retrieving the fourth orb alongside his party. Things go better.

Summary
“Mira… Can I ask you something?”
“Of course, Isabeau!”
“Something personal?”
You blink. And hesitate, because you don’t love how vague that question is, but you still nod, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s about the Traveling One.”
Or: The cat leaves the bag.
