“But being scared is bad I thought?” Luna whispered.
“No baby, feeling your emotions is good. That’s a very good thing.” Pandora spoke as she dipped the brush in the color mixture again. “It’s important that you can identify your emotions and let yourself feel them.”
“What if I don’t want to feel these feelings?” Luna whispered, her eyes wide as she watched her mama’s bright hair dull under the heavy lackluster paint.
“Well, you could push off the feelings, but that’s only a temporary fix. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of them is to process them.” Pandora explained.
“And after?”
Setting the brush down in the bowl, Pandora took off the dirty nitrile gloves and tossed them into the bin before making her way to her daughter.
She dropped down to her knees as a tear escaped her eye. “It might be scary, but we’re going to fight, yeah?”
