Summary
Antinous thought he’d escaped it, no one would be able to trace who he was, what he was, back to the man that he is. Antinous had laughed in the very face of his destiny and had shaped his own path.
Telemachus thought he’d overcome it, his own self was an identity no one would ever be able to take away from him. Telemachus had unraveled the tapestry Fate had woven and started anew.
— — — —
Antinous feels the boat dip beneath him and hears the waves crashing, a bird croaks. Telemachus lets out another whimper behind him. Antinous doesn’t see why he’s so upset, at least Telemachus isn’t bound like he is. Pampered brat. His own binds feel as if they’re tightening with every passing second and the pounding in his head has only lessened to a dull throb. The bite on his neck still stings. The pirate captain’s eyes flash with wicked glee. “Welcome home, son.”
— — — —
It seems that Fate hasn’t taken their defiance lightly and demands retribution. Now, far from the lives they had fought so hard to keep, Telemachus and Antinous must prove their right to their own identities. And if they have to bite and spit their way to ensure they make it back home, then they will, all tongues and teeth. -

Summary
Antinous manages to do what he dreamed of doing for years, only for it to come back and bite him in the ass.
Or rather, be friendly and too touchy feely with him, tormenting him more than anything else would.

Summary
Right when Antinous saw Telemachus, he knew he was a threat.
Just by looking at him, Antinous could tell that he was loyal. That he was a little mama’s boy. That he would stop Antinous from reaching his goal of marrying into his family. Arguably, he didn’t think any of the suitors would like to serve as a stepfather for that boy. He was young, lithe, and weak. He had no fighting bone in his body. Still, he could be a danger to what he was trying to do.
He had to eliminate the threat as quickly as possible.

Summary
“Let us give him a birthday he won’t forget.”
The men turned. It was not one of them who had spoken; it was the beggar who had let himself into the palace a few days ago. Antinous had reported him to the queen right away, but she had told him to let him be, and so they had. This man stepped out now, away from the dark corner he had pushed himself into.
He was filthy, and perhaps a little mad, but otherwise harmless. If this man was as set on making Telemachus happy as the rest of them were, then he was one of them. After all, Antinous himself had been an unwelcome guest once, and all his brothers with him.
“The old man speaks true,” Antinous declared, thrusting his fist into the air, and he was met with shouts of agreement before they all realised at the same time that it was wiser to be quiet. “Be merry, my friends,” he said, ducking low now. He looked to Athena, who was watching in approval. “Make it a celebration he will tell his grandchildren about.”

Or: Telemachus is turning twenty, and the suitors want to make it the greatest party yet. There is, however, a gift even they weren’t expecting.
