It is November 3051. As the Clans renew their offensive across the Inner Sphere, the unlikeliest of allies—the Federated Commonwealth, the Free Rasalhague Republic, and the Draconis Combine—try to slow down the Clan onslaught towards Terra. All the same, planet after planet continues to fall.
Behind the lines, the Snowbirds Special Missions Combined Arms Team, under the command of Sheila Arla-Vlata, tries to help stem the Clan offensive by striking at their supply lines, stirring up resistance on worlds already overrun, and give hope to an Inner Sphere desperately in need of it. It is Operation Rubicon, a risky mission deep behind Clan lines. With any luck, the loss of supplies will force the Clans to slow even further, and maybe even pull Clan frontline units off the forward line to chase the Snowbirds down.
But what can one combined arms battalion do against an army—and what happens if the Snowbirds actually achieve their objective? Can they stand and fight against the best the Clans can throw at them?
