Xadia, the most beautiful city. It stood out against all else. There was little crime, there was no reason for it. Everyone was happy, everyone had something. They had roofs over their heads, food on their tables, new clothes on their backs every so often.
The “Kingdoms”, the most hideous city. It blended into the trash that ended up in the sewers. No one was happy, no one had anything. Having a roof over your head was rare, having food on the table cost everything, clothes were always old and ragged.

Summary
Harrow's wasn't the only death that night, The Moonshadow elves' mission was a complete success.
With Callum's lack of a blood claim to the throne of Katolis, Viren took control of the kingdom with his children as his heirs, leaving Callum alone with his guilt. He suffered for over six months before he finally decided enough was enough and left the place he had called his home since his mother's marriage.
It is now three years later and Viren calls for Callum's return in order to ensure peace between Katolis and Xadia. But to get through what he needs to do, Callum must finally face the guilt that he had been running from for the past two and a half years, as well as battle the struggles he had accumulated on the road. -

That way, Rayla and Callum meet under different circumstances. And fall in love, despite Rayla believing that she has to kill Callum.
Callum learns responsibility and a lot of elven anatomy, Soren is the best wingman and saves Callum's life several times, Runaan and Harrow hook up and everyone wants to get a piece of Callum.

After the assassination attempt, the war brews on, both sides suffer losses and grief.
And Callum is caught in the middle of a conflict. He tries to live up to his father's expectations and find his own purpose. Through negotiating with everyone, trying to find common ground where nobody dies. All while elven assassins roam all around, he's trying to handle Rayla, and Claudia is being a menace. He also has to deal with being a young adult who has a lot of ideals, desires and elven women.
How will Harrow handle the war if he survives? How will Rayla reunite with her parents? Can the two sides ever find peace?
And more importantly, can Callum settle down with just one woman?
