Summary
When members of the Summer Court go after Harry and Molly, the two accidentally pickup a hitchhikers in their escape to Demonreach. As much as he dislikes Marcone he wouldn't abandon Hendricks to the whims of the Fairies.
Upon their return Marcone pays Harry back and their interactions grow friendlier with time. A shaky alliance forms and grows into something more than that, a friendship, and eventually a relationship.
