There was a law put into place before the gang was born that merges Zaun and Piltover, and mostly every ones happy with this arrangement. Vander sighed and rubbed his temple, his old partner could be so stubborn, "Silco, what good is an independent nation if everyone there is either an addict, a criminal, a cripple or an orphan?" He said, listing his grievances with his fingers, "You want your revolution, I want to ensure we can pass something better to our children."
At that, the Eye of Zaun raised an inquisitive eyebrow, "So how to do you propose we do that?" He asked, taking a sip of his whiskey.
"We're both smart men, we'll figure something out."

Death has never been something Jayce has feared the way he was supposed to, not when he's looked it in the eye so many times. He met it's gaze when he was far too young and maybe that broke something in him, eyes that were still so new to the world witnessing something he wasn't supposed to see for many years yet. But it did not claim him when cold clawed at his tiny body. It did not claim him when he teetered over the ledge of an extinguished dream, unable to see the embers still smouldering, nor any ledge he stood on after. It didn't claim him when his body was ravaged by an infection that should have killed him several times over.
It's part of the routine, he supposes; Lamb drawing her bow but never firing.
--After the battle at the Hexgates, Jayce arrives in a universe that isn't his own. Found unconscious by Vander and co, a recovery he never expected to go though lays out a winding path ahead of him.

As though everything had clicked into place, Powder finally understood what was happening. This wasn't her world. It couldn't be, because her boyfriend would never look at her the way the boy in front of her was now.
“Jinx,” Ekko sneered. “What the hell are you doing here?”

Vander always said Powder was too smart to spend her life in a bar, but she never wanted anything more. She had her brothers, her dad, and a wonderful boyfriend. Without Vi in her life, she knew there was no need to strive for greatness.
When an experiment pulls her into another world, one where Vi is alive but Powder is a hated criminal, she may have no choice but to shoot for the stars. This Undercity is much darker than her own, slowly eroding under Piltover's heel. If Powder doesn't rise up and free them all, everything she cares for will fade away. She didn't choose this fight, but she won't let anyone hurt her family.
