Jayce Talis, a ward and a famed student in Piltower university, gets a surprising letter in the mail: He has inherited the Zaun circus, an infamous entertaiment center of London, as the closest male in the family line of the late Vander Warwick. As the Jayce tries to fix Zaun circus into a "repectable" place in London, he putts head with every member of the circus, like late Vander's wards, Vi & Jinx, circus' co-leader Silco, and a certain Trapeze artist, that seems so familiar to Jayce.

Silco doesn't know how much Vander has changed, doesn't understand that he is now more beast than man, and he pays dearly for his folly as the being —the one that has gone by Vander and Warwick and Puppet and is now simply The Hound— decides to take his rival out of the game in a creatively devious way.
(A different way things could have played out, had the first meeting between Silco and The Hound gone down a darker path. You don't have to have read the entire series to understand this fic, but I recommend reading the first couple at least if you want context. Summary
Zaun has always been known for its many threats and vices, Wraiths are just another one on that long list. After Silco gets dragged into this strange anomaly, he is shown visions of a potential future he desperately wants to avoid. However, world seems to insist on ruining his life regardless, where things he tries to avoid keep happening, one way or the other.
In the end, to avoid the worst possible outcomes, he finds himself needing to trust the help of someone he considers a traitor to Zaun, over and over again; someone who left it behind to pursue his goals.

Silco doesn't turn into a druglord but is still the boss of Zaun, and tries to avoid all the horrible things that happen in canon to him and his loved ones, but things keep going wrong anyway. However, he is aided in his quest by Viktor (and Jayce by proxy), who seem to understand more about these Wraith-entities than anyone else. They keep helping Silco to save his found family from self-destruction in exchange for cooperation for their research.
