He’d finally found him. He’d finally found Lu Guang, his old partner, his closest friend, his first love. He was right there, inches away, his silhouette practically begging Cheng Xiaoshi to grab him and pull him into a bone-crushing hug.Cheng Xiaoshi was excited. He was also tired, emotional and full of ugly feelings like regret, despair, and excruciating pain brewing in him for 3 long years. He wanted all those laughs, all those jokes, all that banter, and his partner back. After all, he did not just consider him his best friend.
Cheng Xiaoshi was in love with Lu Guang.
He was there when Xiaoshi cried, he was there when Xiaoshi couldn’t sleep. Lu Guang was his light, and his guiding light had disappeared three years ago. But now, the wait is over. He was right in front of him, walking forward as radiantly as ever.
His throat suddenly went dry, but he desperately tried to get his words out.“…L-Lu Guang!”
He turns around.
Cheng Xiaoshi’s world came crashing down a third time.

Maybe there's no significance to this date in Lu Guang's mind, but at least there's some people who help make it special for him. Between chocolates and raven colored hair, Lu Guang's managed to save a special kind of happiness for Valentines in his memories.

the boy at the mic was average in height, and had a beautiful singing voice. he held a customized guitar in his hands, gently strumming chords as he sang. slightly distracted by the performer’s looks and his mesmerizing voice, cheng xiaoshi trips over himself at the door, but he quickly balances himself and walks briskly to the counter. he hoped the boy hadn’t noticed the way xiaoshi’s gaze had lingered on him for a second too long, and hoped that he did not notice the way cheng xiaoshi had tripped over absolutely nothing.
