He had a loving boyfriend with a loving family, and things were finally starting to look up for Hugo. That is until he’s dragged along to an Invagar ball, and everything starts to go south. Honestly he only meant to pretend to be the lost prince for Little while, just to help donella make some extra cash. He hadn’t meant for it to get so out of hand. But of course this was Hugo. After a moment of silence Hugo piped up “Eugene?”
“Hm?”
“When does it get better?”After being “kicked out” as Eugene would put it, and on a quest to find a bag of sugar, at midnight, (they were arguing too much). Hugo and Eugene find themselves in much more than a sugar run. As the two work to escape the cave they had happened to fall into they find they have much more in common than what meets the eye. If only Hugo could admit he needed help! No he would rather drown than explain he couldn’t swim! And god forbid he let anyone look at his (definitely broken as Eugene would put it) arm.
Basically Eugene and Hugo go on an accidental adventure, Hugo gets hurt, and the two have a long talk about accepting help, even after growing up on the streets.
