Summary
He’s been having that issue lately. His control over his emotions is completely out of whack. As though he’s back to being a teenager, all feelings and no logic. He finds himself crying over spilled milk and catching an attitude with Eddie for trying to make his life easier.
And Eddie, who is ever so cruel, doesn’t even dignify Buck by yelling back. He never judges, never gets angry, never gets frustrated, just always persistent and always stable. This, of course, makes Buck feel awful afterwards, which only makes him even more irritable. A horrible cycle for everyone involved. And yet Eddie does not once complain. So, when he finally does yell back, it really throws Buck for a loop.

After getting struck by lightning, Buck struggles with his injuries and getting back to normal. Things change between Eddie and Buck as Eddie helps Buck recover while dealing with his own guilt about the situation

“Maybe he should have died under the truck, it certainly would make things easier for all of us.” Eddie's voice echoes on the loft along with all the other firefighters' laughter.

“No, he's fine. It’s just with how much you talk about him, it feels like you should be on this date with him.” Eddie goes to open his mouth to tell him that that was crazy. He would never date Buck. Buck was his best friend. But then he started to look at Beck. Like really look at him. Once the realization struck him, he felt his mouth go dry. Beck was almost a carbon copy of Buck. They both were really good cooks, they loved fun facts, they’re both great with kids, they both look alike, and their names are even similar. How did he not see it?

Eddie swallows. He wants to weep, to cry. Cry until there's nothing left. His eyes burn, but he has nothing else to give.
He's broken from his spiraling thoughts finding that Buck still hasn't responded.
''No,'' Eddie bleats. ''No, you can't - you cannot say something like that, Buck, don't..''
''It should've been me, Eddie. It always should've been me instead of Bobby,'' Buck insists, eyes squeezed shut. Willing the fresh gleam of tears to not cascade down the blonde's cheeks. ''And I'd reverse our roles instantly, I'd be the one in that coffin if it wasn't already nailed shut,''

Evan Buckley is larger than life. He is the face seen on every blockbuster movie poster, the lead actor of every big TV drama of the past 10 years. Fans adore him due to his bubbly personality, deep commitment to philanthropic enterprises, and… you know… he’s a bit of a sight for sore eyes.
Buck doesn’t know how he got here, really. It all started when he was 18, playing the titular role of Hamlet in a travelling theatre troupe. Apparently, an agent was in the audience, attempting to scout for untapped talent. After several rounds of auditions and a boatload of networking, he was soon considered the Next Big Thing.
