Summary
After the final battle, J repaired the disassembly drones' space ship (as seen in the credits). Why? Where is she going? What does she plan on doing out there? This is my attempt to answer those questions.
On a distant planet, far from Copper Nine or Earth, one of humanity's survivors is saved from a disassembly drone attack by another disassembly drone. But stranded far from civilization, she'll have to work together with this strange "J" to get back home.
J has done a lot of bad things in her life. She'd like to think she had no choice about them. If only that let her feel good about them, now that the one that made her is dead. But maybe protecting a human on her journey will grant J some measure of atonement. Atonement's pretty close to what she left Copper Nine to find, right?

Before Copper-9 and the Core Collapse, on Earth, there was a wealthy family known as the Elliotts. They lived in a fancy manor in a swamp, where they raised (and abused) their only child Tessa. The teenager's only friends were the drones she repaired from the mounds outside of her house, whom all had their... own complicated relationships.
If things were different, then perhaps those complications would have remained... But small events are happening that will perhaps bring them all closer. To clear up the tension between a few of them and make them stand stronger. All it takes is a few small changes to bring friends closer together... and become a nice, proper family of misfits.
Changes are coming for the young Elliott and her favorite drones... all while ignorant of their inevitable future. But who knows how these changes might affect what comes after that?

It was not the most pleasant of deals, and no one on her team was really happy with it, or each other, but it kept them all alive, together, and with some semblance of themselves. It endured until that Uzi creature somehow tricked N and eliminated J, then corrupted V as well. A major setback, but if J just redoubled her efforts to add value, surely she could negotiate for her teammates, or at least for herself, that she might stay on the winning team. There was no chance they could beat Cyn.Except they did. J made the safest possible bet and lost. There's no more Cyn, no more purpose, no one who even pretends to want her around. There's nothing left for her, except a ship to repair. But there's nowhere to take the ship to. In the flickering light of a torch, there's at long last a choice.

It was hard to tell past the yellow acid surrounding it and grayish spit coughed down its front, but Uzi was pretty sure that was a murder drone chained to the pod's wall. It was lying on the floor, steaming slightly from the puddle of its acid, but its visor was glitching so badly Uzi wasn't even sure it was aware.
