"Getting dumped sucks. Olivia’s stomach kept flipping as she drunkenly made her way to the bar’s bathroom, not even noticing the person she bumped into along the way. Her head was throbbing and all she wanted to do was cry. Hopefully no one was in the bathroom, but if not, she was too intoxicated to care anyway.
She finally made it to her destination and clumsily stumbled into a stall. She almost didn’t make it to the toilet in time before throwing up, emptying her stomach of the last three drinks. She sat back against the wall of the stall and brought her knees up to her chest. Tears started rolling down her cheeks as she broke out into sobs. A small knock on her door pulled her out of her self-wallowing."

“We’re on your side, Agent Three.”
“Yeah! We’ve known each other for years now! It’d be good to have a conversation to make sure we’re ALL okay! So…are you okay?”
The both of them looked back at Agent Three, who had finished his burger. His hands were by his side, and he was looking down at his lap thoughtfully. A few seconds of silence went by.
“Huh.”
The thoughtfulness on his face disappeared. He blinked, and reached forward to grab another fry.
“Yeah. I feel fine. If we have to talk personally about that whole goop business…I’d say I don’t like getting my right eye burnt out. But I miss being sanitized. It was cool.”
He bit down on the tip of the fry, oblivious to the shocked expressions Callie and Marie were giving him. He looked back up at them, the last remnant of the fry still poking out of his mouth.
“...What?”
One month after the end of the events in the Deepsea Metro, The Squid Sisters want to make sure he's doing okay.
But both of them don't like his answer. And clearly, to both of them, this is a cry for help! Clearly, something more must be going on!

Agent Nine's successfully gotten out of the Deepsea Metro. That's definitely more than can be said for any other sanitized octoling, let alone a splatoon fan who woke up one day to find themself in the midst of Octo Expansion as a sanitized octoling. The subway train has somewhat jumped tracks.
But there's still some lingering questions, and the hard issue of being a fish out of water trying to acclimate to society & the fact that they aren't entirely sure if they're stuck in a game or if they are in fact experiencing regular reality. Will they overcome their struggles to adjust to living in Inkopolis, or will they go back, to find answers?
