Phainon stared at her, the room spinning.
"What are you saying?"
"I am saying," Hyacine said, gripping his shoulder, "that you are starving, Phainon. And I fear there is nothing in this Courtyard that can feed you."

Mydei has always wanted to be a professional Formula 1 driver. He has always wanted to be like him. Like his idol, Khaslana, the legendary driver who won his first race at just 16 years old and who, for seven years, never lost his first position in races.
But reality is harder than he expected.
He discovered this when his mother passed away. When his father went to prison.
When Khaslana disappeared after that horrible accident in that final race.
And he discovered it again when he didn't finish in a good position in his first championship, meaning he could be eliminated if he didn't finish in the top 15 in the next race.
''You're good at this, Mydei. You're a good driver. You have the skill and the desire, but you lack experience.'' his manager says.
''And you've found me a coach, is that what you're trying to tell me?'' Mydei snorted.
Why would he need a coach when there were only six days left until the next race? What kind of brilliant mind had Aglaea found for him?

"This… This is not oil.” Mydei said. A bright blue liquid flowed out into the discard tray. “What the hell did you put in your engine…?”
“Um, Oil?” Phainon replied.
“No it's—” With the clear cleaner smell radiating off of it, Mydei confirmed his hunch. “Windshield wash… vlaka.” Mydei scrunched his face. "You poured windshield wash into the oil tank?"
“I'm not an idiot, that's on the side of the car.” Phainon argued. Mydei was slightly surprised he knew what ‘vlaka’ even meant. “I didn’t pour windshield wash into it!”
Or Mydei has been working a job he doesn't like since he was 16. It's all he could do to pay rent and keep saving until he could move out from his father's home, who also happens to be his landlord and employer. One hot summer's day he meets a foreigner who only knows the word 'idiot' in Greek and the genre of Mydei's life changes.

The world is nothing more than a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With civilisation being forced to move underground, and above ground becoming nearly unbearable to survive, people tried their best to adapt to their new reality for the last century. Of course, there were also exceptions, for example — Castrum Kremnos. But nothing lasts forever. Even the most adapted kingdom finds a way to fall. Still, even in exceptions there remain exceptions, like their crown prince — Mydeimos. With no place to call home, and no one welcoming a lonesome man, he began to wander. It’s there that he stumbles upon a half functioning android, Neikos496. Overruled with curiosity and pity, Mydei initiates contact with the android. Despite nearly all robots having been destroyed years ago, and most of the remaining ones deemed as non-functioning, Neikos496 reacts to his touch. And began to boot up. Despite their difference in nature, they begin to bond and form a friendship. But things may not always seem as coincidental as they are, for Neikos496 true nature remains a mystery. And things may be more complicated than they seem at first glance…
