Summary
Galahad of Saint Juliana’s has heard stories of Camelot all his life. When he finally goes to court at eighteen to become a Knight of the Round Table, he is blinded by the splendor of court. He does not notice the darkness and corruption at the heart of the kingdom that surrounds its legendary king, Arthur Pendragon.
He meets Prince Mordred, the king’s nephew, who, after Arthur blatantly flaunts his own laws at a trial by combat, approaches Galahad with a way to combat these injustices.
Galahad struggles to balance his chivalric values with Mordred’s treason, even if the prince does wish to save the kingdom. They search the records for other acts of treason and start to gather a group of like-minded knights. But the king is not the only one with a hidden agenda, since Galahad has his own secrets that drew him to Camelot, just as Mordred’s might threaten the affection budding between him and Galahad.
