“You’re cold tonight,” he croaked at Lestat, his voice hoarse and frail.
“I’m sorry. I can move—“
“No!” Louis rasped as he clutched at Lestat, pulling him closer, as if it were possible for them to melt together further.
“Alright. Alright. Please don’t strain yourself….just rest,” Lestat gently whispered to him.
“I don’t want you going hungry because of me….”
“I don’t need the blood, Louis. I only feed to keep you warm, but I can’t bear to leave you right now.”
