Myths are but stories made up by people of the past to explain why lightning struck or why oceans raged. It was to explain why flowers bloomed and why flames burned.
But what if they weren’t just stories? What if these myths were reality, simply choosing to remain a part of history?
What if the world truly was as easy to understand as our ancestors had us believe? Would everything change? Would the era of man crumble, hoping to be ruled by beings who had the answers to it all — who were the answers themselves?

Summary
The last thing Giyū saw was the horrible creature known as Muzan crawling away to another part of their quickly crumbling world, taking the hashira who could still fight with him, and the bodies of those who no longer couldn't, behind him. Giyū was the latter, trying to stand up even through the sea of blood at his feet. He was dying.
Why was this happening? Wasn't the slayer mark supposed to boost his survival?
Turns out, it did. Maybe a little too well.
Fate had once again chosen the wrong person to save, Giyū thought, back in his thirteen year old body, staring at his dead childhood friend right in the face. Tanjiro would have been so much better at time travel.
