“No. I’m not giving him up. And it was easier,” Murtagh added to Eragon, if a little doubtfully. He would figure out a way to deal with it, just like he’d done earlier. He could be more vigilant. At some point it would have to stop getting worse. There were only so many betrayals his body could hold.
