We've decided to take up project Gender George Correctly In The Narration where I meticulously go through the Famous Five books and change all she-ing and her-ing of George when it is in the narration to he-ing, him-ing, and his-ing. I am doing this because we read George as trans and would like to put this into the world for anyone else who does as well and would like to see a Famous Five where George doesn't get misgendered by the narration. The Famous Five is written by Enid Blyton and doesn't belong to me. Here's the original summary with one small edit: The FAMOUS FIVE are Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and Timothy the dog. This is the story how the ‘Famous Five’ came into being, and of their very first adventure together. And what an adventure it was-involving an island, a ruined castle, an ancient wreck-and a desperate treasure hunt! The children’s pluck and resourcefulness saved the family fortunes and made possible many more exciting expeditions for the Five.

Summary

Also, Canon compliant attitudes (sexism, racism, homophobia) are mocked and satirised.
Final warning- some sexual enjoyment by one of the spanked characters (not graphic but present).

Summary
Anne lives in a world of fantasy where her best friends are from Tolkien, Enid Blyton, Hogwarts, Dr. Who and Narnia. She has trained her body to be ready for adventure when it calls, for she has never lost hope that someday a door will open and she will find herself in another world.
On her birthday, Anne hopes for a Tolkien kind of day. Today will be that day. It will also be the worst day of her life.
On the day she turns thirty, Anne will lose her job, turn down the worst marriage proposal she has ever heard and lose her only friend as a result. She finds out she was abandoned as a baby, and gifted with only a ring from her birth Mother, Anne must deal with her house burning down, and identify the body of her adoptive Mother. Facing a night on the streets, she fights off a street gang, and the realisation that no new world is going to rescue her. As her dreams shatter, her birth Mother appears with a message, and Anne does end up in another world.
But the books and worlds of her imagination have been tainted - the plots have gone wrong.
Very wrong.

This is in the All Change Universe, but I have tried to make it reasonably clear what is going on so that people who haven't been part of the All Change madness as it went along can perhaps start here and just check back in the first story as and when they want to do so. Again was written as short chunks with readers controlling some of the story direction, so some moments don’t make sense to me either, best thing is to just roll with it!
I am not very good at seeing characters in a straight light, so while there will be nothing explicit, there will be gay relationships in this story. A lot. Nothing dodgy though.
So let the madness begin !! This is starting a few weeks before the last scenes of All Change.
I am going to do a Jilly Cooper and put a character list on the first page but this may give slight spoilers, though not too many hopefully.

This could be a story between any two brothers, but these two are my favorite and got the coveted role. If you don't like fics on homosexuality and don't want to think of a favorite childhood character as gay, then I suggest you don't read this.
