He turned on his heel and fled before Kirishima could see how hard he was blushing and sweating. He practically sprinted up the stairs two steps at a time, and once the door was firmly locked, he face-planted onto his bed and screamed into his pillow for ten solid minutes. At least he did it after asking Kirishima on a date. ]

“Make no mistake however, I could care less about what you all think of me.” His glare returned, yet his attempt at intimidation faltered. “It’s simply in my best interest to be careful.” The last part was much quieter, it was easily missable– drowned in the flickering lights and the light static of the air conditioner.
Yet Makoto still caught it. “Then, why did you do it?” Makoto said, voice cracking slightly. He took in a shaky breath, chest lighting up with fire. “Would it not have been in your best interest to not do anything at all? By doing something like that in front of everyone, letting a serial killer on the loose, would you not have just increased the chance of your own death?”
