Summary
Six months ago, a devastating qi deviation had ruined Shen Jiu's cultivation and with it, his chances of becoming peak lord. Now, his Shizun offered him an unexpected opportunity: Cang Qiong was seeking a marriage alliance with one of the sects of the other human realm, where Yunmeng Jiang's young sect leader was in dire straits and infamously unwed, to boot. As one last favor to repay Shen Jiu for years of service, he would ensure Shen Jiu was chosen as Cang Qiong's match.
Marrying a leader instead of becoming one wasn't what Shen Jiu had worked so hard for, but if this was his last, best chance at securing a future for himself, he would damn well fight tooth and nail for it (and maybe, just maybe, his cultivation wouldn't be so broken at all by the standards of a realm where nobody ascended and immortality was the stuff of legends.)
Jiang Cheng just wanted to get through one fucking date without fucking it up. Just once. Please.

Xiang Fei can’t believe he was stupid enough to keep the chapter draft open. He especially can't believe he was that reckless in front of one the few people who, apparently, knows about Proud Immortal Demon Way. Not to mention that Shen Yuan is crazy hot. Xiang Fei can see his obituary now: local man, age twenty, died from sheer fucking embarrassment after a hot guy read his porn.
"Xiang Fei, this is..." Shen Yuan's lips purse, and Xiang Fei feels his soul leave his body. "...really fucking good."

"I was kinda worried at first,” Shen Yuan admits. "Most people who write this sort of thing are basement-dwelling incels or those sisters from the forums who—“ his cheeks flush steadily pinker, and it stunlocks Xiang Fei so completely that it takes everything else a second to register.

Summary
Shen Jiu carefully hides his startle, changing the movement into a casual hair tuck, sweeping his eyes disdainfully in the direction of Yue Qingyuan’s voice. Coming out of the kitchen and staring at Shen Jiu, he really isn’t dressed for company. He’s wearing a t-shirt and sweats, the sort that shouldn’t be worn outside of the home, and it looks like he’s been wearing the same ones for several days now. He hasn’t shaved in a while, there are bags underneath his eyes, and there’s even a faint smell of sour sweat in the air.
Shen Jiu scrunches up his nose with confused distaste. Yue Qingyuan is usually so carefully well groomed, why does he look like this?
“Qingyuan,” he says coldly, not betraying the slightest sign of not having the right to be exactly where he is. “I forgot some of my things, so I came to pick them up.”
“Oh,” Yue Qingyuan says after a belated moment. He seems to be struggling to look away from Shen Jiu. “I’m sorry - if you’d sent me a message, I would have cleared out.”
… Has this bastard been avoiding him?
