After what seemed like hours in that burning position, Kyoshi was finally able to sit down in the corner of the red luxurious bed with a flop. ''Can you see now WHY you should have been training this position every day? At least, you were able to do the horse stance for more than 15 minutes'', Rangi said, crossing her arms and sighing deeply with a slight scowl in her face.
The Avatar gave a brief sheepish smile to Rangi. She was sure this damn horse position would be haunting even her future reincarnations...

Summary
Gyatso was the first.
Aang’s body vibrated and he tried hard to avoid the nervous glances from his two friends behind his back as he approached, carefully stepping around the firebender remains.
He met (what once were) Gyatso’s eyes and wondered how the elder had died, if he’d fallen to pure devouring fire or drowning lungs or if shock had stolen him before anything else. He wondered how long he’d lasted, how much of his own people’s destruction he’d witnessed.
Most selfishly, Aang wondered if Gyatso had thought about him in the end. Not The Avatar. Aang.
