“How do you plead?” The hologram repeated again, voice firmer this time.
“G-guilty,” Egg managed through the pain. At least the thickness of his jacket had blocked most of it, but that didn’t stop the tender skin from flaring whenever he jostled it against his undershirt.
“Eggchan, for your crimes, I, Lettuce K, Law Hivemind Queen, sentence you to execution. God of War?”
The seraph barely caught the determined nod Lettuce and The God of War shared with each other before he was hauled to his feet by the duo of Sargents. The hologram flickered out.

OR: Humans are... dangerous. The entire galaxy knows- they act feral whenever you try to interact with them and many assume they aren't sentient enough to communicate, they have been known to have their limbs dismembered and continue fighting, and their bite strength is comparable to no other. Everyone knows coming across one is a guaranteed death sentence.
Eggchan is an information broker who was recently captured by the Law Colony, and their method of execution of criminals is a human they had somehow managed to capture.

Summary
He paused in his thoughts when the trap suddenly flooded with light.
His eyes flicked down, landing on a purple-pink gem that had been gifted to him by Egg a while back for his birthday. The gem rose, unaffected by gravity, and shone magenta light on everything around him.
For just a moment he saw the inner workings of redstone parts, shuffling a pit of rocks around and pushing some artificial ceiling closer and closer like a trash compactor you’d see in the movies.
Then, his mind blanks, swallowed up by purple-pink that suddenly acts more as darkness.
Welp, He thinks with the last bit of consciousness to plague his mind, To the phantom zone I go, then.

Summary
Just like the old days, they were duking it out in the only battle arena that really mattered: Mario Kart.
Wemmbu was dominating the board (also known as the last two positions, as they always did), grabbing every single power up seconds before Egg could even think to go for it, cackling each time at the annoyed-flabberghasted look on his face.
“Wemmbu,” Eggs voice went low, almost warningly, when he cut in front of him.
“You snost you lost,” He shrugged, zooming to the finish on their second lap while the NPCs had already completed the course.
Wemmbu finished number one in that game. Number one for last place, that is.
“That’s how it’s done,” Egg stretched, popping his back, a proud smile on his face.
“Cheater,” Wemmbu playfully accused.
“Loser,” Egg shot right back.

OR In which Wemmbu fails therapy, accidentally uncovers a government conspiracy, couch surfs, fist fights god in a Denny's parking lot at 3am, gets fired, impulse buys a hundred pounds of superfine glitter, gets arrested, and loses his status as an ordained priest. Not necessarily in that order.

“That floating trading post probably did… but that got burned down,” Wemmbu hummed, crossing his arms.
“See, this is why we need your leadership, bro.”
“Yeah,” He tilted his head to the side, nose scrunching, “No.”
Egg felt his heart sink.
“Listen, I’m going to go invisible and try and break Jaden out, destroy the orbital, and kill Lettuce. You’re gonna… I don’t know, whatever you do in daycare,” Wemmbu turned on his feet, a hand raising in a wave goodbye like some too cool for school anime protagonist.
Egg turned back to the gathered group of pirates, swallowing dryly.
“I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I just… followed him?”
They did mind very much.

Summary
They had also ultimately decided that a new villain popping up wouldn’t be the best idea, especially with the Law’s recent crackdown on villainy. Instead, Wemmbu would follow in his best friend's shoes ad become a vigilante.
He didn’t know the first thing that they did besides the couple of tidbits Egg had drilled into his mind an hour before. He couldn’t kill, couldn’t injure too severely, had to focus on helping others, and so on; Wemmbu stopped paying attention after the third miniature lecture about his tendency to fight before thinking, basically summing the entire list up as ‘No fun allowed’. Honestly, he would just improv the whole schtick and hope it was convincing.
He took one last look in the mirror before heading out. He looked nothing like himself, nothing like Gambit.
It was perfect.
