There had been shouting matches over everything from mission strategy to who got the last bread roll at dinner. Jean had once said—loudly—that if Eren ever gave him an order, he’d rather throw himself off the Wall. He’d called Eren “Titan boy,” “suicidal maniac,” “self-righteous brat,” and once (when particularly drunk) “a walking headache with abs.” He glared at him across the mess hall. He rolled his eyes whenever Eren spoke. He’d sworn up and down he couldn’t stand him.
It didn't make sense for this to be the way Jean saw Eren based on that.
The lines weren’t angry or careless. They were careful. Loving, even. Every stroke felt intentional, as though Jean had studied Eren for hours: the curve of his jaw, the way his mouth turned when he was irritated, the way his eyes softened when he wasn’t paying attention. There were tiny, meticulous details—the small scar under his chin, the way his hair always fell slightly over his left eye, the faint callouses on his fingers from holding his blades.

Every time he felt small, or alone, Jean would look up at the night sky. The dark, black blanket looming over him, clothed with small, sparkly lights they called stars. For him, that was, like, the weirdest thing possible.
It was weird, but.. Huge. An endless variations of possibilities, as if there were no limits higher up. That's why he thought that if others living beings were to appear, it would definitely come out of the sky.

But he never expected to run into his ex at some fancy party either. Eren walked away to get his hormone treatment three years ago. Now he’s an alpha and still perfect and Jean falls in love all over again. It doesn’t help that he’s been harboring his own reasons to keep the other man in his life—a reason with tiny hands and citrine eyes that sparkle like Eren’s.

Registering but not really processing the sounds, Jean threw the door open, a summary of his day in the office already on his lips as he scanned the room for Marco. When he found him lying on his stomach on the bed, he smiled and decided he’d jump onto the mattress next to him and cuddle up while they spoke.
He stopped dead in his tracks, smile morphing into an expression of shock when he realized Marco was rutting against a pillow, his pants laying next to him on the sheets.
