“Wait wait wait…” Chimney held up his hands to stop the conversation. “You mean not only are you guys together, but you’re married?”
Buck shot Eddie a confused glance before looking back at his brother-in-law. “Uhh, yeah, Chim. Have been for about a year now?”
“A year?” It was now Hen’s turn to interject, her eyebrows shooting up. “What the hell do you mean you’ve been married for a year?”
“We mean we’ve been married for a year, Hen,” Eddie chuckled with a confused smile.
“I mean, come on, guys,” Maddie laughed. “It’s not like they kept it a secret or anything.”
Chimney’s head snapped back to look at his wife, his jaw hanging open. “You knew about this?”
Maddie slowly turned to look at him, one of her eyebrows arched. “You didn’t?”

“Evan?” Maddie’s voice rang through to the back of the store, and Evan groaned as he moved his feet from under him, the pins and needles feeling he hated shooting through his right foot.
“Be there in a minute!” He called, carefully attempting to stand up without falling back down again, a thing he did with alarming regularity.
“Kinda need you out here quickly...” She replied, a sense of urgency in her voice, and he strode through the door as quickly as he could without risking falling on his ass. As soon as he got there, he heard a sniffling sound, and he looked from his sister to the small figure standing right beside her, with a mass of light brown hair and black-framed glasses, holding onto two crutches like his life depended on it.
“Hey kid.” Evan crouched down beside him, giving him his best ‘everything’s fine’ smile. “I’m Evan, I own this store, what’s your name?”
“Christopher.” The boy sniffed. “Christopher Diaz. I can’t find my dad."
