What was with the formalities?
Pushing himself into a sitting position, Buck took in his surroundings. The water was still rushing around them, though the firetruck was keeping them safely out of the path. Sitting in front of him was tall, dark, and handsome, Buck trying, yet failing not to stare. The worst part? The guy was wearing the navy blue LAFD uniform, the one that matched Bucks…well, it would if he was still a firefighter.
“Do you know where you are?”
Right, firefighter guy was asking him questions, the routine ones that Buck knew all too well.
“Buck. Evan Buckley of the 118. And uh, I’m fine.” Buck gestured to the air around him, sighing aloud, as he gave the guy a smug wink. “Just a little wet is all.”-or-

“What?” Eddie asked, thrown. “Why would I go to Hershey without you?” he asked, picking up a dish towel and drying off the plates in in the drying rack.
“When you were younger, I mean,” Buck clarified. “For your ballroom dancing.”
“I think I would—” Eddie paused on his way to grab a new plate, thinking. He met Buck’s face with an equally confused expression and said, “actually, now that you’re saying it . . . yeah.” He looked surprised by his own answer. “Yeah, Tara and I went our junior year. Damn, I can’t believe I forgot about that.”
“I think we met.”

“I’ll handle this,” Phillip said, voice clipped. “You’ve done enough.”
Eddie froze. “Don’t—”
But Phillip was already crouching, grabbing Buck by the arm and hauling him upright. Buck’s legs buckled instantly, his body sagging like a marionette with cut strings.
“Stand up,” Phillip snapped. “Stop being such a damn liability.”
Buck whimpered, a broken sound, and then his knees gave out completely. Phillip let go.

What is supposed to be nice day turns into chaos when Buck has an epileptic seizure at Bobby’s place. Not everyone is as supporting as his boyfriend Eddie.
