Robert Robertson never wanted to be an omega. It got in the way, complicated things. That's why he's been on suppressants since he presented. Seventeen years later and his body is breaking under the strain. He needs to stop taking them. Robert isn't good at taking care of himself on the best of days. Herman has always liked his boss. He thinks Robert is a great man, a great hero. Robert is kind and patient and understanding and always makes Herm's day better, so when Robert reveals that he's an omega Herman's instincts go into overdrive. He wants to care for Robert, in whatever form the other man will accept.
In which Robert finds it difficult to accept help but Waterboy persists.

Not every host needed to be calibrated in such a drastic manner, but Teddy was a special case. The first host many guests saw when they arrived at the park - and the first most set their eyes on.
He needed to be able to withstand anything they could put him through. To maintain the illusion, no matter what.
Some of the technicians who watched this felt a bit of guilt. After all, he looked so human, and his reactions were so endearing. But others were so eager, they'd drawn lots for the privilege.

EDIT: After getting to a certain point writing this, I'm realizing this is less slowing it down and emphasizing the non-con of it all. So I'm re-naming it and am going to make a new branching story line that will actually be Robert Slows It Down. Stay tuned.

Also Miles suffering. I think the kids call it whump? I’m too out of loop of fandom terms.
The references to transphobia and misgendering are brief, mostly at the hand of Trager not entirely knowing what a trans-person is.
