Sexual assault. He rolls it around in his head. It’s ridiculous.
It’s a messed up, life ruining accusation. He’d never do something like that to any girl; the idea is positively mental. It makes him ill. His parents raised him well, taught him the importance of consent: No means no, respect her boundaries, ask first, all of it. James Potter would never take advantage of someone sexually. But that’s not what he’s been charged with, not exactly.
The lake… it doesn’t count. It was a stupid prank, it’s what the Marauders are known for, their source of infamy. It didn’t mean anything beyond that. It’s not like he’d known Snivellus hadn’t been wearing any trousers when he cast Levicorpus, it just happened that way, and he’d only gone further because he’d called Evans that awful word.
OR
James Potter overhears a conversation that prompts him to consider his actions and issue an apology to one Severus Snape or risk being taken to court.

Summary
Thunderstorms were a good time to take Moony out into the forest. The noise covered most of his howling, the rain kept him slow and careful, and most of the more dangerous creatures would be settled in for the night. This one had been textbook, with the night tilting back over towards the day with no issue. Then they looked back at the werewolf, noting his raised ears and slowly sniffing nose.
Good, a rabbit'll make him easier to get back into the shack.(Snape has been in his own head since The Prank, and decides to test out 'how easily' the Marauders would've become Animagi. He's not the MOST pleased with his new form. A form that garners as many predators as Severus does in his every day life / The Marauders feel guilty about The Prank. But are they going to say anything? Nuh-uh!)

The other Marauders become acquainted with her later on, all of them equally fascinated with her snarkiness, and if she acts a little too similar to a quiet Slytherin boy in their same year, well, it's easy enough to ignore.

Summary
Harry Potter wishes on a star for a way to get to know his parents, find happiness, and abandon his roles in the war. He wakes up to see he’s somehow time travelled all the way back to 1975!
Meeting his parents wasn’t at all what he expected however. Targeted and bullied by the infamous Marauders right from the jump, Harry is surprised to find himself befriending people the likes of Severus Snape and Barty Crouch Jr! And apparently there is no Voldemort?!
Even less expectedly is how different teenage Severus Snape is from the potions professor who haunted his nightmares. Romance quickly blossoms between the two of them, but what happens when the Marauders start to take their pranks way too far?
