Osiris takes an interest in acquiring Yu’s new lo’taur for herself. Daniel recognizes the opportunity. With the anti-Goa'uld poison in hand, he may be Earth’s best chance at taking out Anubis- he just needs to play the role of Osiris’ obedient slave long enough to get close.
That’s easier said than done, though.
And despite Daniel’s grand plan and their own orders, SG-1 doesn’t believe in leaving their teammates behind.

Details fell together rapidly- the black and white streaked hair, mostly stained with what Julian hoped was dirt, ripped clothes and some of what he had to admit was blood, the forearm tattoo of a halo... He drew a knife instinctively as the man raised his head and Julian found himself staring down into the pained, half-desperate eyes of Eclipse.
“I’m- I didn’t have any other option. Please.” A full body shudder passed through Eclipse as he reached out a hand. Blood was flowing freely from a gash above his eye, and the remnants of his shirt seemed to cover a dozen wounds more.
Julian dropped the knife to the floor, forgotten. Oh fuck.
Julian knows that when you get the chance to take out a villain of Eclipse's rank, you take it, honor be damned. So when Eclipse shows up at Julian's door looking more than mostly already dead, it isn't hard to know he should finish the job and call it a win. But Julian doesn't, and now neither of them really know what happens next

Summary
Morvran Voorhis, first-ranked prince of Nilfgaard, has been sent to Kaer Morhen on a diplomatic mission. His tasks are twofold: first, negotiate a nonaggression treaty between the wild barbarian Warlord of the North and the Nilfgaardian Empire. And second, ingratiate himself with the mysterious Warlord’s daughter and heir apparent, Princess Cirilla.
Sir Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach, a Vicovaran knight, has been assigned to protect young Prince Voorhis on this mission. Prince Voorhis may be the best of a bad lot, but Cahir’s still not looking forward to the threats or the temperature of a winter in the distant North.
They both know their mission is a dangerous one.
