“Why does this hurt so much?” Eyna muttered, her heart aching as she held a bouquet of red, white and black roses. Black roses she spotted Acheron summoning earlier.
“What’s hurting you?” Nick asked, trying not to alarm the others with his worried look.
Eyna stared at the thrown bouquet blankly, her memories clouded her mind and senses. She tried to gain control of herself, debating whether if Acheron truly remembered her. With his sunglasses on, she couldn’t tell if the Atlantean recognized her presence or not.
She remembered his promise before she last saw him vanish in her arms. His determination to be reunited with her again. He even demanded it as the Final Fate.
But when she went up to him, he simply asked for her name and moved on. Like she was a mere stranger to him.
She should’ve known better than to hope. If only her Goddess’ word was not absolute.
Love was hopeless, since the very beginning.
And she couldn’t act on anything now.
The truth will only hurt Acheron more.

Summary
Nick Gautier faces probably the most terrifying and confusing moments in his life where his world gets torn apart by his enemies, his father revived somehow, and at risk to lose his mother. How will things turn out? I'll leave it to the reader to decide the outcome.
Author's Note: I can't believe the prologue is 10,000 words long. It wasn't my intention to have it that long but it was part of a discontinued story I started almost two years ago. I'm posting it here and on Quotev. My friend said that she enjoyed reading this so I guess you might as well.

Summary
Like a flip of a coin, can anyone believe someone's life would be this hectic? Cursed and/or blessed? Explained yet not? Nick Gautier meets the criteria without a doubt.
Realizing his true 'heritage', 'normality' became as faint as a whisper and embracing the harsh fact that he's a demon foreordained to end the world he grew up in is like asking someone to prove that the sky is green. He wants no part of a fate he had no say in and is convinced he alone controls the chains of his future, of his destiny.
Without accepting the other inevitable side of the spectrum, he slowly follows a path unforeseen by so many, a path out of Time's grasp, to prove just how true his words are. He will baffle many in his trail to a future no one can fathom. It's what keeps him going, what keeps him focused on a goal so out of reach, it's almost hard to not believe that his vision of his future would come true. Yet one has to wonder if he's an exception to a rule so ordained that everyone either follows blindly or has followed since it was forged.
We'll keep Our eye on him, because if he does become the 'exception', that could mean one brutal fact.
A fact every one of Us has to face and accept.

I've been craving a fic where Acheron finds out about Nick and goes mental for years, but can't find one. So I'm writing this to fill the hole in my heart where this belongs. It's probably going to go off the rails pretty fast, but we'll see i guess. This is set approximately around the time of the end of Invision, because I refuse to admit that the end of the next book exists.
“Could Ash possibly know what he was? No, there was no way. Ash wouldn’t have been so lackadaisical about it if he knew. In fact, given his devotion to humans, Acheron would most likely kill him if he ever learned Nick was a Malachai.”
