Harry is tired.
Tired of the ache.

Tired of the pitying glances.
Tired of the emptiness.

He doesnt know how he got up here. He doesnt remember his feet taking him. All that matters is he has a choice. He could keep walking, let his feet slip off the edge and let the wind take him. Or he could stay.
But staying meant more bruises. More pain. More scars. More hiding. More lies. More emptiness.
Harry doesnt want that. He makes up his mind. Then, the door creaks open.

Harry Potter died in the Forbidden Forest.
He remembers that part rather clearly.
Waking up six years old again was considerably more unexpected.
Harry has already lived through one childhood with the Dursleys, seven years at Hogwarts, a war, and far too many of Albus Dumbledore's carefully kept secrets. He has no intention of doing any of it a second time.
So he runs.
He expects hiding. He expects planning. He expects five long years to prepare before Hogwarts comes looking for him again.
He does not expect Gringotts to tell him that his magic is killing him.
Or that someone has been siphoning it.
Or that half of what he thought he knew about himself, his family, and his magic was wrong.
Harry wanted a second chance.
