(Written for this kinkmeme prompt: I imagine that, Newt's awkwardness aside, his profession is such that he must be able to take care of himself if he is hurt, without relying on anyone else.

The silverwood tree is a plant that forms the crux of all magic. Its branches possess a sheen with a silver tone while alive, but upon withering, they turn pitch black.

Summary
Qifrey is finally free of the Silverwood, but not of its lasting impact on his body and psyche. The danger may not be real anymore, but the pain still is. His head has been pounding for a week straight by the time he's finally forced to accept real help from his loved ones.
Or, Qifrey doesn't know how to take care of himself now that he doesn't have to avoid comfort to live, so Olly and the girls help him learn.
This is very self indulgent. I already plan on doing a sequel that's rated E or M but this fic is mostly just a fluffy exploration of how difficult but rewarding it can be to relearn how to feel human after a traumatic experience and I wanted it to be accessible to anyone who isn't interested in as much explicit romance. I'm rating this G but if people think it should get bumped up to T I'll change it. There's no violence, only mild language, and no explicit content, but there is fairly detailed descriptions of a severe migraine and some negative self-talk & PTSD related symptoms.
