<~>FINISHED<~>Varian is arrested and brought to the dungeons underneath the palace. The imprisonment of a teenager and his treatment thereafter spark some heated debate in the monarchy as Varian fights to simply live in his new “home”. When an unexpected father figure steps into Varian’s life at just the right moment, he thinks that his life is finally looking up. But, unfortunately, an annoying princess, an ignorant king, and a system designed to make him fail prove him otherwise. How is he supposed to continue surviving in such a place when even the cost of living is pain?

Summary
Being the younger brother of an infamous thief isn't really all it's cracked up to be, especially when said older brother/thief insists that Varian stay behind and wait while he has all the fun scaling towers and stealing crowns. Not that it was particulalry unexpected; it wouldn't be the first time, and it certainly wouldn't be the last.
It would, however, be the first time his waiting was inturrupted by a creepy lady and a manic horse.

You know those reimaginings of the movie/series where Varian is raised as Rapunzel's little brother? ... what if that, but Eugene? (They're Brothers, Your Honor)
