She carefully set them in her jewelry drawer sat on top of the vanity. Andy, in the middle of changing into her pajamas, stopped. Wracked her brain for who her new wife could possibly mean.
“Um, Emily?”
“Yes, dear, if you recall, I have a total of three daughters and one of them is Emily.”

Can be read as in the same universe as "The Choice: or Orpheus reversed" and "Hurricane"
vibes: Lots of angst. Questionable medical accuracy. Poor communication skills. So many original characters. Happy ending to come.
