Starscream cowered back, falling into the Megatron's throne. Or was it his now? Either way, it didn't matter. Three Predacons, Predaking, Skylynx, and Darksteel approached ready to rip him to pieces for all the things he had done to them. Starscream whimpering in fear, had his life flash before his eyes, for some reason, his processor focused on when he had joined Megatron, aligning the Seekers with the Decepticons. The last thought Starscream ever had was, 'if only I didn't join Megatron.' Little did the seeker now, he would have the chance to make that happen.

WARNING! SPOILERS FOR SONIC 3 AND 2.
Dr. Robotnik had never really been cared for his entire life. Oh sure, he pretended that his mechs and mechanical babies cared for him, but they never really did. The only person who seemed to have a sliver of care for him (ok give him credit, a lot) was Agent Stone, who he didn't even know was alive right now or not. As he stared down the freaking hedgehog the GOLDEN freaking hedgehog who had just ripped off the head of his most grand creation yet, he did the one thing he always did when he was lonely or scared. Hide behind his craziness and silliness. Sure he didn't even get a reaction from the golden dick, but at least Robotnik thought he went out without looking like a coward.
So imagine his surprise, when he wakes up surrounded by GUN agents and doctors who have no idea who he is, but a near complete twin of himself is standing right in front of him!
He could really go for a latte with steamed goat milk right about now.

Summary
So, the general idea of this fanfic is that Chara never commits suicide and because of it they are still alive when the other humans come to the Underground.
They still hate humanity, but nevertheless aren't willing to commit suicide as they don't wish to leave their family behind, even if that selfishness means Monsters remain trapped in the Underground.
Then four years into their era the second of the eight humans arrives to the Underground, the one who arrived didn't trust Monsters and had in fact come to confirm whether the first human was dead, the fact that they weren't may be the only reason some peaceful resolution can be attained one day...unlikely, however.
