    Legolas had years to love Emma.
    He knew her first as a child in Rivendell, carrying the last traces of a life fire had taken from her. Years later, after three years away, he returned to find a woman whose mortal urgency unsettled his long, careful life.
    And when that love was no longer something he could mistake for tenderness, he feared the shape of it:
    “I do not want to touch something so brief with hands that will last too long.”
    By the time he understands what silence has cost him, Emma is already on the road to Mordor, carrying far more of the Ring’s shadow than anyone expected.

    Then Faramir finds her in Ithilien.
    He does not owe anything to the silence that shaped her. He only sees the woman in front of him: wounded, stubborn, alive. And he asks for something smaller than eternity, but no less dangerous:
    “I’m not asking you to promise me anything enormous. Only that you come back to me.”

    A canon rewrite about the love that waits too long, the love that arrives too clearly, and the woman who has to survive long enough to choose.

    Both the tales of MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica are stories about wanting to become human. Over the course of the series, the characters humanize and dehumanize one another in their attempts to feel human. The members of MyGO!!!!! find solace and happiness in each other, fighting to become human regardless of how lost they come to feel. The members of Ave Mujica, on the other hand, distance themselves from their humanity so that they are the ones choosing their dehumanization rather than leaving it in the hands of others. Despite their opposite approaches, the bands follow the same steps to reach their humanity or lack thereof: the unmasking of their true selves, the recognition of their flaws, and the acceptance of each other and themselves as human or the exact opposite.

    (A literary analysis essay breaking down the definition of humanity in MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica, how each character reaches it, and what this says about the bands and their solutions to pain.)
