Buck seemed confused by his reaction. “kinda…” He murmured.
“Did you want to get back with him?” He swallowed.
“Maybe for a second. But then we had a fight.”
“About what...?”
“About me living in your house.”
“What’s wrong with that?” Eddie frowned, confused.
“That’s what I said... But he...” Buck hesitated. “He felt in competition with you.”
“Competition with me?” Eddie almost laughed at it. The lion in his chest woke up proudly. So Tommy wasn’t that stupid after all.
“Yeah. Silly, isn’t it?” Buck joked, but the joke didn’t reach his eyes.
Eddie stared at him. It wasn’t silly at all. Tommy was right.

Summary
After dropping Christopher off at school, Buck and Eddie make a quick trip to the grocery store. Everything is going smoothly until Buck needs to use the bathroom, and, with a dead phone, makes Eddie promise to stay close by while he’s gone.
Of course, Eddie gets distracted. One glance at something interesting turns into wandering through the aisles, and before he knows it, twenty minutes have passed. Then, clear as day, his name comes over the intercom: “Edmundo Diaz, your child is waiting at Register 10.”
Eddie makes his way over, only to find his boyfriend sitting on the bench, arms crossed and thoroughly pouting because Eddie left him all alone. Apparently, Buck has decided that being abandoned in a grocery store is a serious offense.
