Perpetua was so fucking tired of hearing about Copia. Papa Emeritus bought us snacks. Papa Emeritus let us play on his phone. Papa Emeritus let us scare the humans at the truck stop. What he had yet to hear about was 'Papa Emeritus' doing his damn job.
They were just over forty-eight hours into the second leg of the tour when Perpetua snapped.
