Summary
Both Crowley and Aziraphale are miserable after their fight in the bookshop, when Aziraphale leaves for Heaven. With each just wanting to protect the other, it doesn't take them long to find each other again, and finally open up about their thoughts and feelings, to truly understand and see the other.

But Crowley had seen the way he glanced back immediately, studying him for a moment, and it wasn’t hard to guess why: Crowley was looking back at him, surprised, astonished by that invitation, so open and earnest.He shrugged, composing himself, doing his best to not make his emotions show so openly. He, too, opted to drink from his cup, hiding a slight smirk, then shrugged.
