“It’s a pity that you are a prude, because I really want you to fuck me right now,” Flavio replies on a breath, sounding a little like an actor in a cheap porno, but not of the bad kind. Sexy and hoarse and masculine – Ben’s vision swims for a second, and he couldn’t say if it’s for the steam that’s slowly cooking him, or just because Flavio has decided to go all in and make him lose his mind.
Ben’s first instinct would be to defend himself from the awful accusations, but he backs down as soon as he realizes he might come off as a bit of a prude, compared to Flavio and his all-European panache.
He’s also a man who can’t resist a challenge, and the teasing edge in Flavio’s voice surely sounds like one. The risks, though. Flavio might be spectacularly reckless when it comes to his own sexuality, but Ben isn’t that bold. Pavlasek and Vavassori could still be around, and it would be a fucking problem if they walked in on them dancing the forbidden polka in the communal showers, wouldn’t it?
“Come on, man. Babe. Be for real now, we’re basically in public…” he says, stuttering just so. Flavio grins, his all too blue eyes unreadable but unmistakably amused.

Summary
The royal court of the Indy Realm had many traditions, the generational Choosing of the next Heir to the Throne being one of the most important. Noble sons (adopted and by birth) were gathered to compete. In the past, the Choosing was not without bloodshed, often resulting in the last man standing being the final Choice. That had changed with King Dario's generation, although that Choosing was not without its trauma.
Pato, Josef, Colton, Lexi and Nolan are the candidates for this generation.
