    Abby turns around and glares at the newcomers. “You’re late,” she huffs. “It’s about time. Is anyone going to run a train on me, or am I going to have to do it by myself?”

    Oh, right, is all Jing-Mei is thinking, the world a blur. We’re not done.

    Pratt leans over to Carter. “I can’t believe,” he whispers, “we missed the lesbian sex. Again.”

    Carter sputters, “What, like we weren’t also—”
