It's three years after the Fourth Shinobi War. Kakashi and Sakura are in the middle of a ridiculous battle against an upstart group of rogue shinobi, and if Kakashi hadn't ended up losing his mind, he would have remembered later to write the strong letter of complaint he'd been mentally drafting regarding Tsunade's opinion of what passed for an S-rank mission these days.
Unfortunately, Sakura turned her head, caught his eye mid-spin, and flashed Kakashi a grin. It was all teeth and delight and something a little wicked. It was the expression of someone who was clearly enjoying herself far more than this absurdity should allow.
Later, a week or so afterward, lying awake in a too-soft bed at a quaint village inn, Kakashi would pinpoint it with surgical clarity. That grin. That moment. That ridiculous battlefield. That was when it started.

“So… you really are applying for a sabbatical to run around the elemental nations as an, ahem, horny civilian?” Shikaku leafs through the papers, looking with despair at the perfectly neat penmanship. The annoyance of everyone in his life (including Gai) thinking he should be doing literally anything with his life except ANBU has dulled, so he can enjoy their flabbergasted looks when he decides to do something stupid.
This is a deeply, horribly, stupid idea. Kakashi knows this. However, Kakashi is also nineteen, and thus allowed to do stupid things like fucking his way across the Elemental Nations.
(It might even have worked, if he hadn't accidentally-on-purpose seduced the Shadow Mizukage.)

LittleRainstorm was live.
Was he really feeling so bold as to do his stream in the living room? It made Obito’s blood rush south at how risky a thing that is when there’s every possibility for him to arrive home early and take Kakashi by surprise. Event cut short, forgot something at home- He could walk through the doors and find him in such an exposed state at any moment.
As shitty a move as it was, he couldn’t help but go back to his friends making an excuse about not feeling well. Hell if he wasn’t going to be stupid and take one massive fucking leap, but god how he wanted to see Kakashi’s face flush red with the shame of being caught, to see his entirely bare body that the camera never got to catch.
Obito was quick with his keys, sure the second he turned the lock it would alert the other, pulling the door open immediately to find a head of silver whip around to look at him over the back of the couch.
And oh, didn’t he look pretty in pink?

Yet he lives with House, who is also a doctor and department head, respectively, and likely also gets paid the salary of a person leading a department. Meaning he could also comfortably live on his own.
Which would indicate that they chose to live together.
But there’s really no reason at all for James to live with another person, unless…
Unless he’s in a relationship with said person.
Or: James Wilson wakes up in the hospital, thinking he's happily married to Sam in the year 1990, only to learn that he is suffering from retrograde amnesia.
Turns out it's 2010, he's divorced thrice over and shares a condo with a man.
What follows is a sexuality crisis of epic proportions, Wilson trying to deal with sharing his space with House and coming to terms with the fact that maybe, just maybe, he's is in love with the obnoxious, grizzly man.
And then his memories return.
James Wilson is utterly fucked.
