“Frag, but I wish you’d emptied your transfluid tank over me instead of the holopic,” Rodimus huffs.
“Captain,” Ultra Magnus says, enraptured, “I didn’t empty my transfluid tank on the holopic.”
The look Rodimus sends him would not be too different, had he instead suggested that Primus had started the civil war in fetching a curly straw. “What?”
“My transfluid tank was full, when I… overloaded on your holopic,” Ultra Magnus struggles to say. “And… so was my reserve tank.”
“You have a reserve transfluid tank?”
Ultra Magnus winces. “It’s complicated. What matters is that the overload brought me from 100% to… 90% full.”
Rodimus stares.
“And since then,” Ultra Magnus cringes at the number on his HUD, “it has refilled to 96%.”
His mouth drops open.
“I can overload on you, inside you, wherever, another 9.6 times with that same output,” he says, desperate to communicate how virile he is, how worthy a mate. “I can show you,” Ultra Magnus insists, a bit pleadingly.

Summary
This is the story of a mechling, barely one vorn old, who pilgrimaged to Iacon to assassinate the novice Prime. Who would, two vorns later, become the youngest Lord High Protector in the institution’s history.
This is his story; Megatron’s story—of suffering, toiling, and loss, which shape his future and the mech he grows into. Of the energon and coolant he spilt in gasping sobs, and the energon he drew to survive, or avenge. Of the prayers he fervently whispered throughout it all, knelt before his shrine dedicated to the Prime.
This is the story of that Prime: the True Prime, the Arisen, their final hope. And occasionally, of Optimus: the neophyte with grand ideals and a Senate which wanted him deactivated. Of that Senate, and indeed the entire system, rotten and cancerous, and flammable.
This is the story of those flames that engulfed Cybertron, in its violent transition to peace. Of the sparks snuffed in the process, and the furtive kisses exchanged in the quiet intervals. Of the legends forged in furious riot, and that forged in its striking absence.
You understand by now, don’t you?
This is the story of those mecha who rebuilt the golden age.

The storm did not die, no, but it lost its fury, its warning edge, that which bade them turn back. That shadow in the sky which sparked, sometimes, with distant lightning—it descended in swooping hooks that cut the air so cleanly, so quietly, it was almost a surprise, despite his close observation, when Balduran found Ansur before him.
He reached his hand out, bridging half the gap, supplicant, unarmed, honest.
Ansur hesitated for only a moment. Then, with a twist and flap of his powerful wings; with a manœuvring of his muscular neck, he pressed his crest against Balduran’s palm.
And right there, in that instant: the eye of the storm.
You think, of course, that you know how it ends, and in a way, you are correct. That is how it ends, sometimes. This time, however, Ansur sees it happen—yes, he foresees it all—just as his Balduran arrives at Moonrise Towers, underprotected, unprepared.
This is the story of how they survive.

Your eyes find the tree, the streetlights, the pink-plastered building on the other side of the river. “I’m sorry.”

“I… don’t know what came over me,” you force out, and the truth hollows you out unpleasantly.
“He did,” Oisín asserts, getting up. “Oscar came back for me, stayed for as long as he could. He’d never hurt me.”
“I’m sorry,” but you can’t even meet his gaze. It feels like you’re falling, your stomach nauseatingly high in your throat.
“I’ll find out what you did to him,” he promises. Threatens.
“And then I’ll bring him back. I don’t care if it kills me. I’ll bring Oscar back.”

Despite Sentinel Prime announcing the war between Quintessans to be back Cybertron is silent.
There is no trace of war; no death and no sparks lost to the wind in battle.After Megatron's death and Orion Pax' disappearance Optimus have wandered the wilderness, eventually finding himself back in Tarn. The last place they spent time together. The last place on Cybertron that still feels like home.
Where he is supposed to go from here he does not know; and with a sparkling quickly approaching emergence he is desperate to find solace in the few friends he made along the way trying to evade Sentinel.But how is he supposed to find them? No one knows Orion Pax is now Optimus Prime. To the rest of the world Orion died alongside Megatron.
He never told them of who he would become; it was only Megatron who knew. And with the other Primes gone he has no one who can vouch for him.
Except for one other mech.
There is one other mech who knows of his ascension...But who's to say if he still lives?
