Summary
When political control over the Artificial Satellite shifts, the Tokyo Residential Complex loses its sovereignty as NATO forces move in and seize authority over the city. In the aftermath, the Last Defense Academy is placed under United States military command, fundamentally altering its mission and internal structure. As part of this new order, a Hemoanima operative named Cynthia “Cindy” Allyson Chamberlain is introduced as an American-aligned asset. However, her loyalty is uncertain. Rejecting the academy’s previous doctrine of direct defense, Cindy instead forms a small covert unit from selected members. Operating in secrecy, she begins orchestrating a destabilization campaign aimed at overthrowing V’ehxness and replacing it with a deliberately weak, compliant leadership that can be more easily controlled.
