Summary
In a chapparal valley in Southern California live four clans of cats. Bayclan plays by the creek, Mistclan watches over the vernal pools, and Sageclan rules the brush. Meanwhile up on the ridge, Bushclan is struggling just to survive. Moons of hardship have left them with barely enough paws to keep things going, but hope for the future comes in the form of expecting queen Smokeheart.
A Warriors story set a continent away from the canon clans, with slightly different cultures and customs as a result. Also kind of just a love letter to rural SoCal where I grew up.

Summary
Leshy is familiar with the cycle of these things. It begins, without fail, with a Challenger stumbling into his territory; lost, damp with rain and covered in twigs and leaves, all with an intoxicating mixture of curiosity, determination, and apprehension. His camera sits, neglected and dusty, on the mantel.
Not for long, he thinks to himself. Outside there is the sound of boots scuffing in the dirt, sniffles from the foggy and dewy air, and pauses borne of confused hesitation. Not for long at all.

"If I can ask, what are those papers for anyway? Homework or something?” The question seemed to earn a little laugh from the blonde, and Kenny tilted his head.
“No no, not homework. It’s for my job. I work for the Denver Newspaper! The last article I was working on got corrupted after I printed it.. So this is the only copy I have of it.”
Kenny nodded in understanding. “I see. Well, I guess that’s why you were so panicked about losing it then… Working for the paper though, that’s really cool! What’s that article of yours about anyhow?”
The other’s bright blue eyes quickly lit up at the question, as if it was something he had been waiting to hear. The excitement only continued to be clear in his tone of voice as he explained, “I focus on Mysterion articles! You know about him, don’t you? I was lucky enough to get assigned to write any news on him. This article in particular is about that bank robbery he stopped a couple days ago.”
