    “Don’t you think Hal and Barry are awfully close?”

    Clark shrugged in response, unsure of where Diana was coming from, because, yeah, Hal and Barry were close. But “awfully” close? That word carried a lot of weight, and if Diana was implying what Clark thought she was implying….

    Then it hit Clark.

    He could see it in the way Hal looked at Barry, the way his eyes glimmered with unconditional support and so much encouragement, smiling as bright as the sun when Barry so much as glanced his way.

    He could see it in the way Barry reacted to Hal’s affections, the way he blushed and teased him back with a friendly smile and shook his head, rolling his eyes when Hal so much as flirted his way.

    Yeah, awfully close.
