Summary
Will tried to think about what to do. He’d already decided that he couldn’t tell anyone – they’d think he’s insane. But what could he actually do with this new ability?
He couldn’t talk to Mike, something he was painfully familiar with. He only saw through his eyes for five seconds; not enough to do or learn anything useful.
After a long time thinking about it, Will ultimately decided to just… let them happen.When Will starts having visions where he can see through Mike’s eyes, he believes he's gone insane - but they're real; a way to stay connected to his friend who hasn’t spoken to him in months.
But then he sees something he was never supposed to: the letters.
Will can’t make sense of it, but he knows that soon Mike will be here, in Lenora, and they can finally talk face to face.
However, when Mike arrives, things aren’t as Will hoped, and now he’s more confused than ever.
As things spiral more and more out of control, Will tries to balance saving his friendship, managing his own feelings, and looking after his sister.
And when it all comes to a head, one thing becomes clear: some things refuse to stay hidden forever. -

“Comfy?” Mike asked after Will stopped moving.
“Mm.” Will replied.
Will felt Mike move slightly behind him. They still weren’t touching, but he could feel Mike’s breath brush against the back of his neck.
“Do you want me to hold you?”
“Yes, please,” Will whispered.
Slowly, so as not to startle him, Mike moved closer until his legs touched and then tangled with Will’s. The warmth pressing at Will’s back intensified before he felt the solid press of Mike’s chest make contact. One of Mike’s arms circled around Will’s waist and pulled him backwards slightly until he was firmly in Mike’s embrace.
“Thanks, Mike.”
“Don’t need to thank,” Mike said sleepily. “Just doing my job.”
Will chuckled. “Your job? And what is that?”
“Taking care of you,” Mike said, like it was obvious.After a day where everything seemed to go wrong, Will returns home exhausted, overwhelmed, and in desperate need of comfort. Thankfully, Mike has always known exactly how to take care of him — but as the night wears on, years of unspoken feelings finally come to light, proving that sometimes even the worst days can lead to something wonderful.

“Who the hell are you?!” Mike almost screeched, floundering to stand properly again. “And how did you get into my house? And WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE ME?!”
Finn held his hands up, the movement making the others pause, and he tried to offer a reassuring and non-threatening smile. “I wish I could explain how I got here, but I can’t. All I know was that one second I was laying in bed, in my time, and then suddenly there was a bright light and now I’m here. But I can tell you who I am, and assure you that I mean you no harm. In fact…” Finn paused, “I might even be able to help you.”
When Finn finds himself magically in Hawkins and is met with the real-life party, he realizes he has the perfect opportunity to fix how the show ended.
One by one, he helps everyone with what they need the most: Will to feel more confident and loved; Mike to figure out his true feelings and pull his head out of his ass; El to realize her independence; and Dustin to process his grief over Eddie. And maybe he also tells the gang what he knows so they can hopefully save the world and kick Vecna's ass before a single child is even taken from Hawkins.

Newt never thought he’d be able to find comfort or companionship in anything but his creatures, but Tina proved that all wrong.
That day in the bank changed everything. He met his best friend, and he met the woman of his dreams. He thought of her every day, and she occupied his thoughts almost as much as his creatures did - and that was a big thing.
Newt couldn’t imagine how he could live without her now.
But he couldn’t for the life of him figure out what to do. Newt struggled to make himself properly coherent when around her. When talking about his creatures or others it was easy, but when it came to his own feelings, that's where it got difficult for him. How was he supposed to explain to her the depth of his feelings when all that came out was rambled nonsense?
As the snow melted into the fabric of his suit, he came to the conclusion that maybe he’d just need to take a leap of faith and trust that maybe, just maybe, he might for once say the right thing. He just needed to be brave.
Or: Newt and Tina escape the noise of their families and confess in the snow.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up.” Mike feels like his brain is going to split open any moment now. He has so many questions, most of them much more pressing than what ends up coming out of his mouth, but he can’t help blurting out, “How come you’re being so nice to him and not to me?”
“Because he isn’t a jackass,” Older Mike retorts. “Oh, fu - I mean, shi - uh. I’m sorry." He looks at eleven-year-old Mike apologetically. "Excuse my language.”
Little Mike giggles. “You can say jackass.”
Older Mike smiles fondly. “Okay.” He turns back to Mike, scowling. “Jackass.”
“Why is he a jackass?” Little Mike pipes up.
“Yeah, why am I a jackass?” Mike asks indignantly. He can't help feeling like he's being ganged up on. By himself, no less.
“Do you want a list?” Older Mike growls.
