Summary
In the kingdom of Haneul, children born during an eclipse are believed to carry either divine blessing or terrible ruin. Park Jimin is born beneath a blackened sun, and for one brief moment, a ring of silver light appears around the moon. His mother gives him the secret name Inara. Then she takes him far away from the kingdom that might worship him, fear him, or kill him simply because of the sky beneath which he was born. Years later rumors started following him across the desert. They say Jimin has healing hands.
King Min Yoongi is dying. The palace physicians have exhausted every known remedy. The temple priests insist the illness is punishment for Yoongi’s refusal to choose an official mate and produce an heir. Powerful families have begun preparing for the succession crisis that will follow his death.
Jimin is brought to Haneul as Yoongi’s last hope when every physician has failed him. Neither expects healing to become attachment, or duty to become love. Somewhere between an eclipsed sun and a desert moon, light falls in love with shadow and neither knows what it will cost to survive.

He’d just about finished his noodles when Jeongguk excused himself rashly from the table, saying he needed to visit the bathroom. Seokjin’s eyebrow had skyrocketed, but he’d done nothing to stop the younger from leaving. It was only when Jeongguk didn’t return that Yoongi was assured of his initial suspicions.
